What are the Activities?

  • Build a Sentence: Students read phrases and add words to make complete sentences.
  • Fill in the Blanks: Students use a word bank to complete sentences.
  • Fix It: Students read sentences, find the mistakes, and write the corrected sentences on a line.
  • Let’s Draw: Students choose one word and one picture and write a sentence that includes both of them.
  • Roll and Read: Students roll the dice and read high-frequency word phrases. This game can be played independently or with a partner.
  • Dots and Boxes: Students play this classic game while incorporating Simultaneous Oral Spelling, which helps improve their spelling of the high frequency words.
